All of us have undertaken a train journey at some time or the other in our lives. Imagine if there were to be multiple train companies using multiple places to on-board and off-board guests who use their services. There would be chaos for lack of space and the costs would be phenomenal for the individual.Monarchies and earlier democracies focused on this infrastructure because it not only facilitated people in their journey but the government itself to earned revenue. The focus was the Logistics of a Journey; be it for an individual or goods. The same applied to whether it was Air, Road, Water or any other form of Transportation. A common Infrastructure was a necessary Logistic to serve the cause of journey.
Zoom into Healthcare with a similar context. Replace the journey with the health of the individual. Every single stakeholder in the healthcare ecosystem is focused on providing services to keep the individual healthy. And alas their activities are inter-dependent for positive outcomes. Then why don't we find a similar Utility / Platform for Healthcare?
Whatever be the reasons for why it has not so far been attempted or implemented, Medioctor has taken this initiative not because it feels as powerful as a government or a regulatory authority. Simply because technology affords it to be taken up and any government does not have the imagination and capability to make such a platform viable globally as is needed for the subject of healthcare. Medioctor has focused on the key aspects of Security, Process, Contextualization, Content, Cognitive & Business Intelligence and Inter-connected infrastructure using the Cloud, Mobile Technologies, On-Demand Mechanisms and Social Infrastructure enabled by the Internet of Everything globally to build this platform. Because this is long overdue. And this is what will bridge that global gap of the reach of Quality Healthcare and Improve the Quality of Life in Societies.
